The annual Canicross Ireland Fun Weekend will take place on 9th & 10th of June 2018 in Corkagh Park, Dublin
Monies raised will be evenly split between the club & our charity partner, Aoibheann’s Pink Tie
Activities for the weekend include:
SATURDAY 9TH JUNE:
~ 9:30am – Corkagh Park Parkrun (dogs welcome at this one)
~ 12pm – information sessions, including fun canicross session with Dog Trails NI, talk on nutrition in sporting dogs from Louise Jones & a talk about joint health with Maria from Pawtrition
~ 4pm – Club AGM. This is for all current club members & will take place in Camac Valley Caravan Park (beside Corkagh Park)
~ 7pm – Magic Mile Challenge – how fast can you run a mile? You will receive a certificate of achievement at the end of it with your time on it. Can be run with or without dogs. We will be asking for a minimum donation of €3 for Aoibheann’s Pink Tie to take part in it
~ 8pm – Social BBQ (bring your own food & drink)
SUNDAY 10TH JUNE:
~ 9am – 5k Jog With Your Dog. Classes include: men’s, women’s, novice (first time runner with their dog…no proper equipment required, 3km) junior (age 11-16, 3km), Junior-junior (age 7-10, 1.5km), Mini-musher (age 7 & below, 500m dash). ~ After the presentation of the rosettes for class winners in the Jog With Your Dog, we will also be presenting end of year awards for our racing season
~ 12am – Fun Dog Show, K9 Olympics, raffle, cake sale
